Roll & Drum Handling - Lift and Turn, Move, Pour, Position, Load

Electric Roll Manipulators

Roni utilizes a core expander that does not involve teeth biting into the core, so it can be used with both plastic and cardboard cores. Pair this technology with 90-degree rotation, and the end product is the Expand-O-Turn™ (EOT) end effector.

With this tooling, you can manipulate roll handling solutions from core vertical to core horizontal or vice versa. The core expander also incorporates wheels to aid in the removal of the roll from the core expander. The EOT comes in two standard sizes to work with 3-inch and 6-inch cores. It can also be customized for your application requirements up to a maximum 10-inch core dimension.

For applications that require external gripping of the product, consider the Squeeze-O-Turn™ (SOT) attachment. The SOT incorporates stainless steel arms with "V-Blocks" to grip the outside of the roll with a gentle, controllable force.

Once gripped, you can lift and rotate the roll with the Lift-O-Turn™ 360-degree variable speed rotation unit. The Lift-O-Turn™ enables the operator to insert a shaft for placement onto a machine or pallet for shipment of the roll. Roni specializes in mobile roll handling solutions equipment that can move, lift, invert, rotate, and manipulate heavy rolls with ease.

In many cases, rolls must be transferred to and from pallets, which often requires rotation between core vertical and core horizontal positions. You can do this by using a manual rotation handle or the optional electric rotate kit. Roni’s attachments are interchangeable, meaning you can switch them easily to accommodate multiple applications with one piece of equipment.

Drum Handling

Do you need to transport and/or manipulate heavy drums or barrels in your facility? With a solution from Roni, you can handle drums of various types and materials ranging from fiber to metal to plastic. You can also customize a system with various accessories such as pour chutes and retainers.

Grip the drums by squeezing them from the outside using the latest Squeeze-O-Turn™ technology. You can then rotate them to pour contents, or simply pick up and place them where they need to go.

Roni has been helping customers find solutions to their roll handling and drum handling problems for more than 20 years. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, we provide solutions worldwide.
